Goodbye Grandpa

My Grandpa Del passed away this morning.

He was sick for a long time,

and I am just happy he doesn't have to suffer anymore.

Fiesta Fiesta!

Our fiesta was a success!!
Though holy crap,
my house could not have held one more person!
I had to push and squeeze past everyone.
But it was worth it.
I was so happy to see my girls and to hang out with Charlie and Deb.
I can't WAIT for the Cross Dressing party in a few weeks.

Triple Shower Day

Man it was a long day............

11am- Jen D's baby shower. Jen is one of my good friends from the dreaded Clinic 6 and she is having her 1st baby! We are so excited for her! She is naming him Lukas. It was so nice to see all the girls!! Can't wait for the Fiesta! (PS Thanks for the picture Jen! I forgot my camera all day)

1pm- Lindsey's baby shower. Man, I am SO excited for Linds to have Boston!! (Yay for boys! Jack will have so many friends!) It is her 1st baby too, and she will be such a cute Mom. I hope that he is born on Jack's bday- she is due on Feb 8th!

5pm- Heather's bridal shower. My cousin, Colby, is getting married on Feb 3. I know he is older than me, but it still makes me feel old that he is getting married. Man! It's crazy! I am happy for them and am excited for the wedding!

Congrats everyone!! Jen and Linds- you better call me when those babies come!

Lucky Wendover

For Christmas, my Dad and Beth bought me and Matt a trip to Wendover to see Aaron Lewis (from Staind) and of course to play and gamble. We have been dying to get out to Wendover and have been impatiently waiting for 2 weeks to go!! Poor Beth got hit by a car earlier this week, so we were all afraid she wouldn't be able to go. But, she was so tough! My dad rented her a wheelchair and she stayed up all night with us. I am so glad she still made it!


About 5 minutes after we got there, my dad (with his lucky charm from Max- a little BATMAN toy) turned a $20 bill into $520!!! He is the luckiest man ever. He kept winning all night!!
After a yummy buffet, we headed over to the concert hall. It is the coolest place ever. We were about 15 feet from Aaron Lewis (can you tell from this picture I took??), and we had little tables and margaritas! I never want to see a concert anywhere else. Aaron was AMAZING. Wow what an awesome voice he has. He did all of our favorite songs (Massachusetts and Zoe Jane were my favorite) and he also covered a couple songs. Some guy in the audience yelled out, "Your voice is like a mixture between Fergie and Jesus!" For some weird reason it kind of makes sense, ha ha.

Matt and I were the big losers of the night, we finally gave up and just followed my Dad around to watch him win. He seriously won at EVERY machine! We had so much fun and we learned all of his tricks to win.
This morning we woke up and headed over to the Nugget to have breakfast and play a couple more games. Matt spotted a machine and said- Hey is that sponge bob? We went over to it, and nope it was nickel machine called Nurse Follies. He felt the machine call to him, so we stuck our final $20 bill in it and played together. After we lost $10 of the $20, I looked at Matt and said- should we stop? He shook his head and pressed the "SPIN" button again. We got down to $3, and I stuck my finger on the button. All of a sudden the machine says "10,150" credits won!!
I said- Matt!! That's over $500!!!!!!
We were freaking out!! After our long losing streak, we won BIG! Thanks Max for our lucky charms- I had Hulk and Matt had Wolverone- how could we lose?
We walked calmly over to my dad and Beth and just showed them our slip that showed our winnings. They both yelled! Oh it was awesome!

Thanks so much Dad and Beth! We had SUCH a fun time!!!!

My Cell Phone

Cell phone cameras suck, but they are so convenient, and sometimes we catch the best pictures when we least expect it. Here are my top 10 favorite pictures/videos on my cell phone:

1. I love this picture of Jack. He is 7 weeks old and so beautiful. 2. Lindsey sent me this from her cell phone. Look at little Bruno and Ludo! 3. This is my favorite picture of Matt and Max 4. Max said- Hey mom, look at me! I'm doing the fat Iron Man dance! 5. Back in the good old days working with Lou- she got sandwiched between these 2 ladies on the dreaded O Zone bus. Ah ha ha 6. I took this picture because I was so amazed that they made mango baby food (yum!) and after I took it, I saw Jack's big giant smile in the background! 7. My sweet baby's big beautiful eyes 8. No, we didn't dress him up. He came in the living room last night looking like this! We said- WOH! And he hurried and took off his mask and said- It's ok, it's me! 9. Max is almost 4 years old and singing the Transformer song. Takes a few seconds too start.

Wednesday Weigh-In's have returned!

Alright everyone, holidays are over and that means-
Time to diet for summer!

Matt and I started on Monday and nothing keeps us more motviated than posting our weekly weights on our blog.

So here we go: (gulp!)

Matt's starting weight: 248 lbs

Ashlee's starting weight: 141 lbs

Like we said before, Matt's goal is to lose 30lbs and Ash's goal is to lose 15 lbs.

We've done it before and oh yes we will do it again!!

My day as a single Mom

Matt had to work all day Saturday, and me and the boys (including Andrew) were SO bored.

SO we decided to go to Chuck E Cheese.

Sounds like a great idea right?

Sure- if you want to experience Hell.

There were a BILLION people there.

It was IMPOSSIBLE to play any games, because as soon as you started some random kid would push you out of the way or steal the balls and take over.

Half the rides were broken.

I thought there was a ball pit or something fun for babies- NOPE.

I balanced a 25lb child, coats, diaper bag, tokens, and tickets the entire time.

There is no way of pushing a stroller around that place.

My back and neck are killing me.

There was 1 postive thing- The big boys LOVED it.

After I finally convinced them to leave, we went to Carl's Jr. for lunch.
Now THAT was fun. Me and Jack got to SIT and eat while the big boys played. And, I even felt so refreshed I took Jack thru the play tubes and got some sweet pictures.

We braved Costco and Smith's next- don't even get me started with how that turned out, all I can say is I was so HAPPY to get home and find Matt waiting for us.

Happy New Year!

Our annual New Year's party at my dad's was (as usual) SO much fun! We had amazing appetizers and yummy drinks and an awesome illegal firework show :)


Our New Year's Resolutions:
Matt: Lose 30lbs by June, save money for more Wendover trips and more family vacations, put a sprinkler system in
Ash: Lose 15lbs by June, take Max to Disneyland, get my 1,156 pictures developed
Max: Learn to read, ride his bike with no training wheels
Jack: Move those wobbly legs and walk! Eat his entire birthday cake (only 1 more month love! Wow time FLEW by!)
