July 24th Weekend at The Cabin

I was lucky enough to spend 4 days at The Cabin with all my boys, my little girl Sesi, and our best friends- Lou and Chase. We have never visited Causey Reservoir while staying at the Cabin, so that was fun! The water was kind of mossy, but it was really fun to swim with the dogs. We howled for coyotes, played a million games, ate smoked oysters, made tons of yummy food and drinks, and relaxed. I am SO ready to go back. How about next weekend Dad? :)
Here are some pics from our trip:

BATMAN!!!

We saw The Dark Knight last night and it was AMAZING!!! Heath Ledger did an incredible job playing The Joker- every time he was on screen I got so excited. It is such a tragedy that he can not come back for the sequel. I wasn't too impressed by Two-Face. I thought that actor was a perfect Harvey Dent, but not quite convinced on the Two-Face side of him. Christian Bale was amazing again, same with Alfred and Commissioner Gordon. It is a fabulous cast and the best Batman movie yet!!! I can't wait for the next one!!! And, Max loved it! He won't take his Batman cape off.
(Above-Matt and our boys in Batman capes ready to go see the movie!)

One of my best friends, Sammi, came to visit from Cali this weekend. Linds and I picked her up and made her a sign from the gift shop napkins and a pen. Ha ha ha. It was so good to see her!! But, sad to see her go..... See you in November Sammi!!

Flaming Gorge

We just got back from our annual 4th of July trip to Flaming Gorge. It was so beautiful there- our favorite is the canyon under the bridge- it is breathtaking! We really missed having my grandparents there, but we will be back next year! We got there about 3:00pm on Wednesday, after a stop in Evanston. The weather was perfect for setting up camp. We decided to go up and have dinner at the Flaming Gorge Lodge- it was good! We had never done that before. Then, we went back and relaxed by the fire. Here is a picture of Max when we are cuddled in the tent telling "good" stories about Transformers and Ben 10.

The first day was the sunniest. Matt, Chase, and my Dad went fishing early and we got the big boat ready. About 10:30 we headed out on the water. Max and Andrew were so excited! Jack just loves being outside- and he didn't even mind his life jacket....at first.

Ty and Whit

I was a little unsure how Jack would take to the 62 degree water, but after a second he liked it!

There is this tiny sandy island in the middle of our favorite canyon, and it was defintely my favorite place to swim.

Andrew water skied for the first time! It was so cool! After watching Ryan do it, we asked him- do you want to try? He didn't even hesitate with a Yeah! He did so good!! It made me a little teary-eyed to see our little man getting so old.

Andrew(7 years old)

Ryan (5 years old)

Here are all the kiddos playing in the sand:

Chase and Ty jumped off this giant cliff on a rope swing. I didn't get Ty on tape cause some stupid people were in the way, so here is Chase:

Luckily Whit got a picture of Ty:

My little Lou didn't learn from her best friend that big white bellies burn easily! Poor little fried Marley.

My nephew Zachy caught his first fish with his Nana.

The last day we took a LONG boat ride to Sheepcreek, but the scenery was worth it!

We saw fireworks in Dutch John on our last night. For some reason they decided to do them on July 5th. But they really were some of the best fireworks we have ever seen! And, Max's Ooh's and Aah's made it even better!

Kayden is 1 and is taking down Andrew:

Brooky (aka my hero) taking down all three boys at once!

Here are some more pictures from our trip:

We've told you before that our husbands love each other a little too much, now we have proof....

Thanks Dad for an amazing trip!!
