The boys took me on a date today.

We went to see the BLACK HOLE

star show at Clark Planetarium,

We walked on the moon....

We walked on Mars....

We went to my 2 favorite stores: Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie.

PS, I REALLY wanted this dog head for my wall

Dang, I should've bought it!

But, Matty found a $2 shirt for him, $8 pants at Gap for Maxxy,

AND he bought me a dress at Anthropologie

EEEEEEEEEE

I have wanted a dress from there for ages!

Yeah, our sweet boys were SO ready to go home

Jacky was out cold before we even left the parking garage

Such a great day with my loves!

Now we are relaxing, making blackened broccoli alfredo, watching Land of the Lost, and playing Donkey Kong

ahhhhhh......

With the Italian Pack of last week's Bountiful Basket

We made HOMEMADE Eggplant Parmesan.

PURE homemade I tell you!

I used 3 onions, garlic, fresh basil and thyme, and about 12 tomatoes,

cooked it all day, then blended it up,

added fresh mushrooms and zucchini,

then Matty pan-fried the eggplant with some bread crumbs.

We topped it with shaved parmesan,

and had some Robert Mondavi Pinot Noir

A doc at my work introduced me to the COOLEST thing

It is a food co-op called Bountiful Baskets.

Every week, Monday at 12pm sharp,

You go to: http://bountifulbaskets.org/

Sign up, pay $15, and choose a pick up location

(they vary, and the busy cities go FAST. Esp Sandy)

Then, the following Saturday, you pick up your basket.

You never know what you are going to get,

but you always get 50% veggies, and 50% fruit

(this is what I got for my first basket, ALL of this!)

They also have add-on options,

like this week I got the "Italian Pack" for an extra $7.50

It was eggplant, onions, mushrooms, and LOADS of fresh herbs.

They also have raw honey, bread, granola, etc...

The options change each week.

If you eat lot's of fresh veggies or fruit, then this is TOTALLY for you!

Dreaming of Warm Sunshine

Today we went to the park.

It was SO beautiful and sunny outside!

However, it was also 32 degrees

32 degrees (!!!)

brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

But, it was nice to get outside,

we were going CRAZY with cabin fever!!!

After we left, the boys kept saying:

"That was a great day!"

HURRY up Spring!

Bring us warm sunshine, the annual Cabin hike, and the CRUISE!

D's Baby, Surprise!

My old coworker and friend D (Dalisa) moved back to her home town, Tennessee,

about a year ago.

(at least I think it was a year ago? The time sort of melds together these days)

And, our other former coworker and friend, Sue, decided to throw her a surprise baby shower while she was in town this weekend!

She didn't even know that we knew she was pregnant.

It was so sweet, and she is having a baby boy!

(you know how I like boys)

So I made her a monster beanie for him (pictured above)

and got her some furry pants and a shirt with a wolf in sunglasses

(AWESOME!)

(might have made me a little excited for my in-the-future-no-I-am-not-pregnant-yet child)

It was CRAZY good to see my old Clinic 6 girls

I love, and miss them

every.day.

I had my first Algebra homework last night...

It was supposed to be an easy refresher of basic Algebra,

and it took me 2. hours.

I had to redo it, over and over and over

Not to mention,

I have homework and a quiz due

every. single. day. of this semester-

What did I get myself into?

ARGH, my brain better start working better!

Or I am going to have to have my Dad and Parker over every night to help me!

This is only Math 1010 people!

What am I going to do in Math 1050?!

Algebra is not as simple as it looks

My Little Brother

My little brother has gone through hell these past few months.

Things haven't gotten better or improved-

they just seem to keep being shitty.

I don't understand why this is happening to him,

because, to me, he is one of the best people I know.

Yeah, the kid is a dork and spends his free time in front of the computer,

but, he hilarious and handsome and always there when we need him.

I feel bad because Nellie has gotten lost in the mix of everything.

I know how much he loves her, he looks at her like my dad looks at me,

but I think it also hurts him to look at her,

to see the family that he wanted so badly, just gone.

I. had. to. get this off my chest, because I honestly thought things were getting better.

But, I should have known better, and they are shitty again.

(my brother has a bloody hand to prove it)

I hope that he moves on. I will be completely honest.

I want him to be happy, with his BEAUTIFUL daughter.

He is so young, SO smart, and has his whole life to find someone ELSE to make him happy.

I know he will find her.

And, for now, his has his little girl.

The most amazing little girl in the world.

So, in a way, he is really, really lucky,

And, I hope he knows that.
