We escaped up to The Cabin this weekend
(AKA our happy place)
It was cold, foggy, GREEN, and beautiful!
It rained, snowed, the sun shined,
We had a fire, four-wheeled, got really muddy, play a million card games, ate way too many smoked oysters, drank Salty Dogs, took naps, and went on our typical walks to the Deer's Playground, The Fort, and The Mooncrater.
I LOVE that we do the exact same thing every time.
It never gets old. NEVER.
It is so comforting and relaxing up there.
Lu loved everything. She loves being outside!
This face!! It comes with snorting like a little piggy! hahaha
These old flannel shirts get worn by all of us, every time!
The Moon Crater was so full!
Picking flowers for momma :)
In a few weeks flowers will be bloomed ALL OVER!
We just need a little more sunshine and warmth
Daddy's arms are so comfy!
They always put Lulu to sleep
The fog was kind of freaky!
It felt like there was no one else on Earth!
Matty went fishing really early,
Lu woke up and we peeked out onto the porch.
Amongst the heavy fog, was a little deer friend!
Amazing!!
What a beautiful morning!!
Seriously, this is the dog's heaven!
SUPER NORM!
(like Matty said, he just needs a cape!)
Jacky's first time riding on the four-wheeler alone.....
Um, yeah he is not ready yet.
(he has no fear!)
He would just press on the gas and laugh like crazy!
Good thing we had it in granny gear, and ran along side of him!
Eeeeeeee......
The Deer's Playground
My favorite place EVER
(Lu likes it too)
My kids are the CUTEST!
Look at me, Mom!
Max aka Grampa's clone
Uh oh......
(that is a naughty face!)
Dear Cabin,
You make us sappy and nostalgic every time!
Every time we go up, we are in awe of this place.
I wonder if Grampa Jim and Grama Pat knew how important it would be to all of us when they built it.
There are so many memories here!
PS The Fort needs a make over- any volunteers?
That thing has lasted SO LONG!
I remember all the cousins building it together, so many years ago.
Thank you Cabin!
(and thank you POP for taking over the love and care these last few years!!)
I can't wait to go up in a few weeks and get the new floors installed!
